Spring welcome letter – 2024

Spring welcome letter – 2024

April 2, 2024

Dear Member,

It’s that time of year, Spring has sprung, the ice has melted, and once Mother Nature gets on board it will be boating season! We have a lot planned for this season, our three club dinners (with a new twist), and a night out at the Theatre to see CHICAGO. We’ll also be holding a CPR class (seats are limited, sign up soon).

First, we would like to announce our Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the clubhouse.

The Agenda for the Annual Meeting is as follows:

Call to Order

President’s Overview

Financial Review

Old Business

New Business

To help us meet the Quorum requirement, we are providing proxies that can be returned to the club secretary, Stan Pollack, either in person, or mailed to the QYC address at the bottom of this letter. For your information, quorum is 1/3 of the voting power. There are 125 slips, each slip has one vote, so for quorum we need 42 slips represented either in person or by a named proxy.

During the off-season our Parking Lot Committee did the hard work of looking into steps we can take to have a better parking experience for us all. We’ll go over the details of the changes during the Annual Meeting. Enclosed with this letter you will find two 2024 parking passes. All vehicles must display a current pass, or the owner may be subject to a fine. If you are renting your slip for the 2024 season, it is your responsibility to make sure your renter has a valid parking pass. (there will be a $5 charge for any lost passes that need to be replaced).

Dates to remember:

Club opening May 4

Annual Meeting and Dinner May 25

CPR training June 23

Independence Day Dinner June 29

Labor Day Dinner August 31

Lastly, we have enclosed the 2024 Owner’s and Renter’s contact information sheet for 2024. Please make sure your information is up to date and that we can reach you or your renter if needed (just in case your boat is sinking). This form can be mailed to our PO Box or dropped off with any Board Member.

If you have any questions, please feel free contact any member of the Board at [email protected] or check the website: QYC PO Box 1539 Center Harbor, NH 03226
