Mid-Winter Update

Mid-Winter Update

I started writing this a couple weeks ago, but got a little distracted with the weather.  I hope those of you with local properties were spared damage with the storm last week.  The club was without power for ~24 hours which provided an opportunity for the marina to freeze up.  Fortunately there wasn’t any damage and the aquatherms kicked in when the power came back on and have mostly thawed the marina.

I hope everyone is having a great off-season.  Thank you to the majority of folks who have sent in your dues.  If you haven’t, please send it soon.

I’ve posted the end of year budget-to-actual and the 2017 budget to the members section.  Please be sure to check it out and let us know if you have any questions.  This will also be covered at annual meeting Memorial day weekend.

Construction is going well.  The area around the clubhouse and the dock off the side are complete.  The construction barges have moved to the back dock where demolition and re-construction have begun.

Construction and weather permitting, we are tentatively planning to open the club on Sat, May 6th.  Volunteers are invited to join.  Contact a director if you are interested.

Interested in running for the Board of Directors?  Please contact Susan for more info.  We would like to provide candidates an opportunity to submit a profile to the members section as well as the e-newsletter.
